CAJUN QUEEN
I left here on a holiday
Went down to New Orleans
It wasn’t long before I met
A pretty young Cajun Queen
She smiled and held out her hand
And placed it in mine
She said I hope you’re ready
Gonna have a Cajun time
Chorus
And I went to meet her Papa
And I met her Momma too
She said you’re from the Maritimes
We’re pleased to meet you
When she played the fiddle
And the accordion Papa played
Soon this pretty young Cajun Queen
Just stole my heart away
We did the bar scene circuit
And Preservation Hall
She took me Cajun dancing
And we just had a ball
And French Quarter dining
Well I never stood a chance
Came here for a holiday
Now I can’t leave this romance
Chorus...
