A TRIBUTE TO DON GIBBON

     First of all I wish to say it’s always nice to be able to say hello to the folks who listen to Don’s Golden Oldies Weekend Show. As many of you know one of the things I do musically is to write songs and Don has played many of them on his show.

     Today’s program is special to me and I wish it to be special for Don.

     As a songwriter you sometimes sit down and as we say craft a song. You weave lyrics around a thought, an idea and you just let your creative mind pen a song. I have written at least 200 songs at this point and have recorded over a hundred of them.

      I must say it is very special when you meet someone and something about them just invites you to write a song about them. And that is the case for Don. I met him a couple of years ago and this past summer I just knew I wanted to salute this genuinely remarkable person in a song.

     I consider it my special privilege to know Don Gibbon and on my latest CD there is a song called HEY MR. DJ and it was totally inspired by meeting Don and how easy it was to recognize the many marvelous qualities of this person and just listening to what others have shared with me.

     So Dynamite Don I wish to salute you MR. DJ and there are so many reasons to say thank you. I could never do justice in a song  to all that you are, but in my own small way I acknowledge you with great gratitude.

     Folks, hope you enjoy this song  - A TRIBUTE TO DON GIBBON. Don’t hesitate to give Don a call to let him know.

Don, allow me to add I am very proud and pleased that you inspired me to write this song.
